Hugh Higley was a member of the Sun Coast Model Sailing Club; he was by all standards a true Corinthian Sailor and great competitor.
This trophy will be awarded to a Sun Coast Sailing Club member who best exemplifies a Corinthian Sailor while participating in the Winter Soling Series. The trophy will be presented at the club’s annual award’s banquet.
Prior to the start of the Winter Soling Series; the Commodore shall appoint one member from the Gold, Silver and Bronze Fleet’s who will become the award’s selection committee. The recipient’s name will be added to a perpetual trophy and certificate will be given which will be appropriate for framing. The winner will hold the trophy until the club's next
annual awards banquet.

A Corinthian Sailor one who is skilled in the handling of his or her's Model Racing Yacht; who knows and understands the rules of racing; conducts himself as a true sportsman both on and off the race course.
